Australian Mining Industry With Opportunities |
Australia has been experiencing massive investments in the mining
industry thanks to massive Coal Seam Gas discovery in Queensland and New South
Wales, Australia is riding the mining tide to fund itself. It is a well known
fact that this country has been world’s leader when it comes to natural
resource exports, it produces practically every mineral known to
man which can
be put to commercial use and since 19th Century Australia has been a
mining nation but in the modern 21st Century it is not just
extracting the natural resources, they are selling it to the world earning
precious foreign currency which off course is used to pay for its imports but
this industry is helping the nation balance the payments by increasing the
exports by many folds.
When a country benefits from an industry so do its
people and this is what is happening for Australian citizens, with mining
industry growth there has been massive job creating in this sector which pays
premium when compared to other sectors.Besides, with working at height courses and certificate IV in OHS, there has been new drive for getting good jobs in Australian coal seam gas industry.
In the time period of 1986 to 2000 there was sharp decline in the number
of miners i.e. from 113,987 to just 87,530 which is practically 40% fall but by
the end of 2012 the jobs created by mining industry was close to 275,982 and this
clearly shows the volume this industry has created and in fact the pay is also
very attractive, for a non managerial work a person can get up to $1700 per
week enabling him/her to take away some $85,000 a year which is more than what
most of the managers take home but then there is always the risk to the life
which is involved.
Engineers who are employed for civil work makes nearly $2500 per week and
workers around $2000 which is way more than any other engineering job payout
and no doubt mining allied technical courses have become hot favourite for the
Aussies because it pays more and the task is interesting.
